Stop by the library for access to 46 million items, 26 million articles, 100 research databases, and 120,000 eBooks. We also have print materials available for checkout and would be glad to help you find whatever you need. Additionally, we can help you request materials from any other college or university in the state of Ohio through OhioLink.
Beyond materials and access, library staff are knowledgeable and able to assist students and faculty in finding the best information resources for any and all research needs.
The library facility also has computers available for student use, plenty of desks and tables for studying, and a lot of seating for individual or group studying or club meetings.

Library Rules
Cell Phones:
All cell phone ring tones must be silenced or set to vibrate within the Terra State Library. Please take all phone calls outside of the Terra State Library. Cell phones may, however, be used beyond the Terra State Library doors in the atrium of the General Technologies Building (Building B). We reserve the right to ask anyone whose phone use is disrupting others to leave the Terra State Library.
Computers:
The Terra State Library computers are provided to conduct research, access academic resources, and communicate with others in support of the College’s educational mission. Students, faculty, staff, public patrons, and campus visitors are expected to use computers in an ethical, legal, and responsible manner. By logging onto one of the Terra State Library's computers, users acknowledge that they have read and agreed to uphold the Terra State Community College Acceptable Use Policy.
Any violation of college policy or local/state/federal laws, alterations of computer or network settings, promotion of commercial activity, activities intended to harm or distress others, and those activities that are obscene or malicious in nature are prohibited. Access to the Terra State Library’s computers is a privilege, not a right. Violations may result in loss of this privilege and/or disciplinary action.
Copyright:
The copyright law of the United States (Title 17, United States Code) governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted material.
Under certain conditions specified in the law, libraries and archives are authorized to furnish, on request, a (one) photocopy or other reproduction. One of the specified conditions is that the photocopy or reproduction is not to be "used for any purpose other than private study, scholarship or research." If a user makes a request for and/or later uses a photocopy or reproduction for purposes in excess of "Fair Use" the user may be liable for copyright infringement. Terra State Community College reserves the right to refuse to accept a copying request if fulfillment of the request would involve violation of the copyright law.
Disruptive Behavior:
In order to preserve an environment that is favorable for studying and relaxing, the Terra State Library's staff reserves the right to ask anyone who is exhibiting disruptive behavior to leave. You may report disruptive behavior to at the Circulation Desk.
Food, Drink, and Tobacco
Food and drinks are allowed within the Terra State Library but must be in containers with a cap or lid to help prevent accidental spills. This policy has been set in place to preserve a clean, pest-free library and to prevent damage to materials, computers, and other equipment.
The use of tobacco is prohibited within all Terra State Community College buildings and smoking is prohibited within 30 feet of all doors and windows on campus.
Gifts and Donations:
Anyone wishing to donate materials to the Terra State Library are asked to speak with the Librarian to discuss the nature of the proposed materials and the needs of the collection. The Terra State Library staff will then decide whether each item is suitable for adding to the collection.
Laptops and Wireless Internet:
Laptop computers are welcome and may be used within the Terra State Library. Please do not leave any laptops unattended! The Terra State Library cannot be held responsible if a laptop is lost, damaged, or stolen. The Terra State Library staff asks that you keep all laptop sound settings turned off or low and encourages the use of headphones when listening to music or watching videos with sound. Headphones may be borrowed from the Terra State Library's Circulation Desk, though it is recommended that you supply your own.
Wireless access is available in all public areas of campus, including the Terra State Library. To connect: select the “Terra Wireless” network and open a web browser to log in with your Terra credentials. Visitor and guest access is also available.
Lost and Found:
All items that are found within the Terra State Library will be sent to the Security Office located in B105 of the General Technologies Building (Building B). To locate or retrieve lost items, please contact them at 419-559-2253.
Noise:
The Terra State Library provides a place for students to study on their own or within a group, therefore it is not a strictly quiet area. Conversations are welcome as long as they do not disturb others working within the Terra State Library. Large worktables are available for collaborative studying and quieter study carrels, desks, and chairs are available along the east wall behind the stacks for individuals seeking greater solitude.
Please consider those working around you when using the Terra State Library. Silence or set to vibrate all ring tones on cell phones and turn down the volume on all other devices. The Terra State Library staff asks that you use headphones when listening to music or watching videos with sound. Headphones may be borrowed from the Terra State Library's Circulation Desk, though it is recommended that you supply your own.
Personal Property:
The Terra State Library is not responsible for any personal property left unattended within the library. Please keep all backpacks, cell phones, and other valuables with you at all times to prevent theft and damage. If personal property is found unattended within the Terra State Library, it will be given to the Security Office located in B105 of the General Technologies Building (Building B).
Photocopying:
Some items in the Terra State Library may not be checked out due to the reference nature of the items. For these items a copy machine is provided. You will need your Terra State Community College ID card to use the copy machine located within the Terra State Library near the entrance.
A second copy machine is located on the third floor of the General Technologies Building (building B), in the Atrium, outside B304 next to the Virtual Cash Acceptor Machine.
