Diet and Performance

The food you use to fuel your body can have a huge impact on your performance. Too much or too little of vital macro- and micronutrients, or not enough variety can cause issues with some of the most basic functions you want your body to perform. Functions like building muscle, supplying glucose to muscle cells, efficient delivery of oxygen to your cells, muscle recovery, and more. 

This library guide is a collection of resources from general to specific to help you understand how the food you eat can help or hurt your athletic abilities, and also generally to promote good health and good habits around eating and food. 

And a general rule that can be counted on - when in doubt, drink more water! And eat some vegetables.
