Using the Printer/Copier

Campus Printing for Students

Each term $8 worth of printing credits are loaded into PaperCut for each registered student which can be used for color or black & white printing and copying. This balance is added to the student's account at the beginning of the term, or upon a student's registration for a class after the term starts. This only happens once per term and any unused balances will carry forward to the next term. These credits have no cash value and are not refundable to the student.

Printing Costs

The printing costs listed below are per printed side, if printing double sided then the charge would be x2. Black and white page - $.05 Color page - $.20

Adding Funds

Students can add additional funds to their PaperCut account at the following locations:

 • Library on the third floor of building B - Cash only

• Cashier's office in A200 on the second floor of building A - Cash or credit card accepted

Printing/Copying

The following print queues are accessible from all printers on campus. Choose the print queue which is appropriate for the current print job:

• B&W_Print on papercut-prd00

• Color_Print on papercut-prd00

The print is then accessible on any of the common area network printers on campus. The student will log in to any of these printers and release their print job. To make copies the student just logs in and then make copies as needed.

Scanning

Students can scan documents at no charge. After logging into the printer, the student has an option to scan to their Terra email. The student can enter a different email address when scanning, but that email address cannot be saved to their account.

Accessing the Printer

All that is required for a student to use a printer is their Terra network login. The student may log in on the campus printers and release their print job or make copies. Optionally, if a student has a Terra Student ID Card, that card can be associated to their account. Student ID Cards are issued in A100 on the first floor of building A.

To associate a student ID card to their account, follow the steps below:

• On any common area campus printer tap the ID card on the ID reader on the right top of the printer

• Touch Yes when asked if you want to associate the ID card to the user's account

• Login with your Terra network login credentials

After these steps are completed, the student will then be able to tap their ID card at any printer to release their print job or make copies. These ID card association steps will need to be repeated if a student loses and is reissued a new ID card. Students must use a Terra computer to print, there is no printing from personal devices.
